EA and Bit Reactor have just revealed a closer look at Trick, confirming his role as one of Zero Company’s founding members and giving us our best glimpse yet at his updated armour design. Formerly known as CT-3301, Trick was created and trained on Kamino like the rest of the Republic’s clone army. While his early service record hasn’t been detailed, he’s clearly been through the thick of the Clone Wars before becoming part of this elite unit.
Ahead of #MayThe4th, we’ve got something special for the squad. Our team put together full renders of Trick to celebrate all the cosplayers, artists, and fans already showing love for STAR WARS Zero Company. Thank you for the support. We’re so grateful! #SWZeroCo #StarWarsDay“
Trick’s nickname isn’t for show. He’s known for his love of games of chance and a tendency to take calculated risks, both in battle and out of it. He brings a mix of standard clone discipline and something less predictable—a tactical instinct that relies on reading the field like a sabacc table. He’s not reckless, but he’s willing to lean on intuition in ways that separate him from the more rigid members of the squad.

Visually, Trick’s design leans heavily into the classic Phase II clone trooper look, but there are a few distinct touches that give him personality. His helmet retains the standard profile, though the visor is framed in black and bears subtle scuff marks suggesting extended front-line use. His armour shows signs of wear but hasn’t been overdone—there’s no needless flair, just quiet cues that this is a veteran who’s been around. The clean lines and minor customisations suggest someone who knows the value of order but isn’t above bending it when it matters.
This updated model reinforces Trick’s role as a grounded, experienced fighter with just enough unpredictability to keep both enemies and allies guessing. As with the rest of Zero Company, it’s the small details that hint at deeper character design. More to come as we learn how this plays out in the game itself.
